Prof Dr Sir Nik Omar

We invite anybody who are interested  in TCM / Oriental Medicine especially Classical Chinese Medicine to join our group. Members must be able to dedicate enough time to participate and make a difference in the organization.
 
While presiding over the 10th International Conference on Acupuncture & Moxibustion at Kota Bharu, Malaysia in year 2000 , jointly organised by Research Instittue of Medical Acupuncture - RIMAc, FAHOM, MRHP and Open International University For Complementary Medicine, I was taken suprise to see a large number of doctors, qualified both in TCM and western medicine had shown keen interest in Oriental Medicine, Acupuncture.
 
Growing acceptance of acupuncture by practitioners of Western Medicine is a valid proof of worth of acupuncture science.
 
Acupuncture had withstand 4000 years history of Chinese medical approach to human ailments. That it has survived for such a length of time inspite of lots of political upheavals, is a sure proof of solidity of acupuncture science. Whether a 'qi' energy with its male and female splits -'yin' and 'yang', flowing through a series of meridians and becoming basis of health or disease, is right or wrong, the facts remains that many discards of modern medicine have found 'cure' in acupuncture.
 
There are many cases so called 'incurable' disesaes by orthodoc medical practitioners, cured through acupuncture. There are many cases where by pain killer cannot kill the pain, but acupuncture does it well in time. There are many cases or migraine, gout, arthrithis which cannot be cured by weatern medicine, but cured through acupuncture.
 
Hundred thousands of hospital throughout China has applied acupuncture to their patients and millions of people has benefited with acupuncture treatment. Still there are ignorant western doctors who are in darkness about acupuncture, they still says nonsense towards acupuncture treatment.
 
They are talking about 'theories' but we are talking about 'result'.
 
The world are turning towards acupuncture, it is the new trend for 21 century medicine. Let us join together to develop and promote this form of treatment which is safe, simple and very economical.
